“Using BIM technologies in integrated management of construction projects”

Bexel Consulting, as a member of buildingSMART International and member of Technical Committee of CIFE Center of Stanford University has held two lectures in Novi Sad and Belgrade, Serbia on using BIM technologies in integrated management of construction projects. Lecture encompassed use of BIM technologies in all stages of project lifecycle and producing BIM deliverables in our BEXEL Manager software, starting from conceptual design and documentation quality control stages, creation of QTOs and bills of quantities, procurement planning, tendering processes, 4D and 5D planning in BIM environment and supervision of every stage of the construction project with the assistance of BIM technologies. Case study were given with challenges encountered, problems and their solutions, as well as 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D BIM processes and advantages realized with them. Also, global trends in integrated management of construction projects were discussed, along with Open BIM approaches and current state of standardization on global level with a special focus on European Union.
Lectures were held on May 21st, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad at 10:00 AM and on May 22nd, Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade at 12:15 PM. We would like to thank our hosts for excellent response to our lectures.
