The project of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO was presented at the Architectural Biennale 2008 in Venice. It is implemented on the basis of PPP (private-public partnership) in the framework of Education project which is a national priority for the Russian Government.
The President and the Prime-Minister of the Russian Federation as well as prominent international political and economical figures from different countries are members of the council of trustees of the Russian Harvard.
The concept and project of the campus were designed by architect David Adjaye and based on the Suprematist paintings by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich.
As a result, SKOLKOVO is considered to be a completely new phenomenon in modern architecture. The construction technologies were well ahead of their time. For example, multistory consoles, which are more than 15 meters height, stand out of the main disk for 30 meters without any support.
