BEXEL’S ACTIVITIES
Bexel’s engineers provided our technologies and services on a part of this complex, developing the BIM model for the entire architectural, structural and MEP design, starting with the conceptual phase and then developing the detail design model for shopdrawings extraction. During the entire design process, Bexel utilized its own proprietary BIM solution for all analyses and optimizations. As an example, in the conceptual phase, various versions were developed for what-if analyses, in order to achieve the optimal and most efficient solution in terms of energy consumption, overall cost as well as visual appeal.
Using the centralized 3D BIM design process all drawbacks common for traditional design were successfully overcome and the result was a clash-free and flawless design solution, leaving virtually no issues to be resolved on the construction site. The scope also included complete extraction of shop drawings for architecture, structure and MEP directly from the 3D BIM model as well as generating detailed and comprehensive Quantity takeoffs.
