Bexel is participating in the tendering procedure with Drake & Scull, where we were tasked with developing a full-detail 3D BIM model based on a set of tender drawings received from the Client – Dubai RTA. Our team was in charge of generating a detailed and comprehensive quantity takeoff of MEP works for tendering process. All MEP elements and work items of any trade were broken down by various criteria as defined by the Client. The process of clash detection along with clash reports was aligned with 3D BIM model development in order to avoid any construction delays and improve design. The 3D BIM model was used for generating 4D construction simulations which enabled effective schedule planning and optimization.
