BEXEL’S ACTIVITIES
Bexel is participating in the tendering stage for a part of the Red line Project, as a BIM specialist with Drake & Scull Rail. Our team was tasked with an in-depth quantity analysis of MEP works utilizing the 3D BIM model supplied by the Client – Qatar Rail. The MEP model elements were broken down by several criteria including building, spatial structure, location, work type, zone etc. Our scope also included design review along with clash detection analysis, clash reports and visualisation from the tendering 3D BIM model, in order to get a better understanding of the design and potential problems that need to be solved. Also, as a tendering requirement, Bexel developed a 4D construction simulation based on the proposed construction schedule. The simulation was used to review the current schedule and provide recommendations on possible improvements. Our team prepared the BIM Execution Plan as per BIM related tendering requirements.
