OPEN BIM DAY 2017

BEXEL Consulting was proud to host the previously announced Open BIM Day Seminar, held on December 12th at the conference venue of Hotel Courtyard by Marriott in Belgrade.
The seminar attracted the attention of the construction industry’s regional professional public and gathered more than 40 guests with the participation of 5 lecturers and one special guest.
The introductory speech and the lecture titled “Lean Project Management – implementing BIM” was given by Mr. Veljko Janjic, CEO of BEXEL Consulting and President of BIM Serbia.
Mr. Edin Garaplija, the CEO of INZA Group, gave a presentation about his company’s business concepts and several case studies, focusing specially on GIS, hazards prevention and risk management on huge projects, as well as the possibilities for BIM integration.
Mr. Jasmin Bučo appeared as a special guest and talked about his experiences as the Executive Director in the Public Company Motorway FB&H on regional infrastructural projects, as well as the planned BIM applications on them.
At the end of the BIM Open Day, 3 of our colleagues from BEXEL Consulting gave lectures and presentations of their first-hand experiences with BIM, working on major projects in Qatar and Jamaica. They had short presentations of client’s requirements, working methods, BEXEL’s BIM approach and software platform, as well as showcased how BIM helped in problem solving, reduced planning and construction time, and helped cut unplanned costs and mitigate risks on their projects. A presentation of BEXEL’s BIM platform, BEXEL Manager, was given to demonstrate the workflow, benefits and speed with which certain analyses are being done. Finally, the Day ended with a productive Q&A session.
