2018 buildingSMART International Standards Summit
March 26th to March 29th, 2018
Paris, France
BEXEL Consulting continued the tradition of participating in the most prestigious BIM event in the world – the buildingSMART International Standards Summit. As a regular member of buildingSMART International, this year, we attended the event in Paris. The content included development of open digital standards for improving the design, build and management of assets in the built environment.
Veljko Janjic, the CEO & Co-Founder of BEXEL Consulting and member of the buildingSMART Standards Committee, once again successfully presented Bexel Manager®, BEXEL’s integrated BIM platform.
This time, BEXEL’s presentation was held in the construction room with attendance of a large number of respected professionals. We introduced participants with our BIM platform and its capabilities. Our solution was noted as one of the very rare solutions in the market that uniquely integrates the industry standardized IFC file format with data and analyses such as bill of quantities, custom classifications, 4D scheduling and 5D project cost information.
We also presented a very interesting FIFA World Cup Football stadium case study showing the collaboration and exchange capabilities of Bexel Manager® using BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) and IFC.
During the presentation, our CEO has also shown our unique and very advanced BIM parametric design development product – BEXEL Infrastructor – an infrastructure software solution for design of infrastructure elements such as roadways and tunnels. It supports the IFC format, and emphasizes the support of the IFC Alignment schema.
The presentation once again received great feedback from the participants of the Summit.
This year buildingSMART International Standards Summit was held at the iconic Coeur de Défense office Skyscraper in Paris and was attended by 340 delegates from more than 30 countries. The participants were a mix of senior industrialists, software vendors and other construction industry leaders.
